To further create a safe enjoyable playing environment for all participants, Gosford City Basketball & Sports Stadium have in place a Zero Tolerance Policy for Players, Parents and Spectators.

1.    There will be a zero tolerance policy towards any inappropriate or abusive behavior from Players, Parents and Spectators towards any other participant.

2.    Any Player, Parent or Spectator who feels the necessity to:

• Persistently or willfully question or challenge the rulings of the referees
• Berate or abuse referees
• Berate or abuse players
• Berate or abuse other parents or spectators
• Display conduct which is inappropriate in a sporting environment

will be asked to leave the venue immediately. Failure to do will result in other formal actions being put in place. No warnings will be given in the event of the above action becoming necessary.

All participants have to accept responsibility for their behavior.

Any appeals against disqualification under this policy should immediately be directed to Gosford City Basketball & Sports Stadium – Attention Competitions Manager

This action has become necessary due to the reported instances of inappropriate and abusive behavior at competitions conducted by Gosford City Basketball & Sports Stadium and our desire to nurture a safe competitive environment for all participants. We implore any participant that feels they cannot refrain from the above behavior not to attend.

Please note that any action taken under this new policy and procedure is entirely separate to any action that may be necessitated by law under the NSW Child Protection Legislation, Sport Rage Guidelines or Judicial matters.
